christmas, sleep and pigeon shooting

i have had very little sleep recently. this was not a good plan as i have an essay deadline of 12 noon TODAY. But i've finished it now, and i wish i could say i was happy, but sleep is overcoming me!

i stayed up all night on wednesday. it's a bit of a uni thing to do: you think, im a student i can do this. which usually is true. but not altogether sensible cos you lose whole days and meals and things like that.

the plan was to go to the traffic social and then do my essay. Instead g and j came back to ours and we just sat and talked all night. i wish i could say that we talked about deep theological issues but unfortunately i can't. some time was devoted to developing a new business plan for miss millie's to start a line of roast pigeon burgers, supplied by the plentiful stock which sit like ducks on top of spin bowling. Ideas included target practice from our balcony which provides a suitable, in fact ideal, place to help them out in maintaining their supply...

anyway...

[in the vein of a recent blog phenomenon which looks like clare thinks i should do!]:

things i haven't done...yet:

bought any christmas presents
decorated our house with tinsel
written to Father Christmas
sent any christmas cards
been cheered by cheesy christmas songs (though i don't think anyone actually does!)
generally got into the christmas spirit actually...very bad scroogey behaviour on my part!
